Our swimming pool is located outdoors by the Lake and is open from mid-May until mid-September, weather permitting. The pool is NOT heated and offers an area for kids, as well as an automatic lift for specially-abled guests. Pool hours: 8am – 10pm. Towels for pool-side use only are available for guests. Room key is required to enter. This amenity is available to registered hotel guests only.

We do have a resort-wide high speed wireless internet connection. Each cabin has its own access point to better distribute, heavy at times, usage of the network. And of course, this facility is complimentary for all our guests. Please keep in mind that our remote location does affect the signal strength. Phone service has significantly improved at the Resort once the new cell phone tower was installed. It will be spotty higher in the mountains. Verizon users, AT&T and T-mobile usually don’t have any problems using their devices. Other networks may have a spotty or no reception.

Our guests have access to all amenities on the property, including an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, tennis courts, game courts, activity center, playground, fire pit and bonfire areas, lounging room, business center and workout room.

You will be able to park right outside or nearby your room. Parking is free, however slots are not assigned and offered at first come, first serve basis.

Yes, we have a trailer parking on the premises. You are able to park your boat trailer or an RV* there. Spaces are limited, on first come, first serve basis. Trailer parking is located in the upper parking lot, above the post office and adjacent to the administration building. Please make sure to register your trailer and obtain your parking pass. Cost: $40/day for registered hotel guests or $50/day for day-visitors (non-hotel guests). Parking fee is collected by the Pines Resort to offset the cost of the parking maintenance and security. It is separate from boat registration fees or launching fees.

Bass Lake is a beautiful fishing destination stocked with bass, trout, Kokanee salmon, catfish, crappie and bluegill. The deep, long lake features four bays brimming with catch and a public boat launch. Bass Lake is home to some of the largest salmon in California during the summer season, and you’ll find big black and spotted bass during the fall and spring when the lake is quiet. Fish in the early mornings, before the boaters and jet skiers come out to play.

Nothing says summer fun and adventure like boating and jet skiing on Bass Lake. Located right on the shores of Bass Lake, The Pines Resort features a boat launch and a marina with boat, jet ski, wave runner, and canoe rentals. You’ll also find water sport rentals at The Fork Marina and General Store.

We have two restaurants, directly on the Lake. Ducey’s on the lake is open for breakfast and dinner and offers more upscale, steakhouse setting. Bar & Grill is more casual and open for lunch and dinner. Pines Market Deli offers a selection of sandwiches, salads and fried food. Due to current gathering restrictions, related to the Covid19, we only offer outdoor dining on the lakefront pation (upstairs), as well as on the deck outside the suites. Guests are encouraged to order to go from the current menu, including specials and family meals.

At this time, we do not accept reservations (as of April 2020). In general walk-ins are welcome, but we do get busy in the summertime and on the weekends. We highly recommend calling to make a reservation for Ducey’s on the Lake (breakfast or dinner). At the Bar&Grill, we only accept walk-ins. Reservations: 559-642-3131. All special events are selling our fast and we do require reservations at both of our restaurants, as the seating is pre-arranged.

Ducey’s on the Lake appeals to all tastes. We offer a great selection of steaks, chicken dishes, pasta dishes as well as seafood. We have also launched tasty, affordable and ready to serve Family Meals.

Bar & Grill has a lot of quick (not-fast food!) options like burgers, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, salads and more. All our dishes are made from locally grown and organic produce.

Yes, Bass Lake is great for swimming and in the summertime, the water temperature reaches low to mid 70’s. The Bass Lake region is also known for its recreational activities like fishing, paddle-boarding and more.

Temperature varies based on the season. Winter months typically come with low to mid 40s during the day. In the Summer and Fall you will enjoy mid-60s to low 70s. In the summer time, visitors enjoy upper 80s to mid-90s. There is a big temperature difference between day and night, sometimes even 30 degrees drop. Make sure to bring a sweatshirt or a jacket to use it in the evening.

The Pines Resort consists of a hotel (cabins and suites), two restaurants, bar, market, gas station, conference center, gift shops, etc. Ducey’s on the Lake is the name of our signature, lakefront restaurant.

At this time, (rental) car is the best and most convenient option. As of May 2017, the Pines Resort was added as a stop for YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation Services), which means you will be able to use a public transportation from San Francisco, Madera, Fresno and into Yosemite without the need to drive yourself. This is a seasonal option, available only in the Summer.

The Resort is at the snow level. We do see some snow, but usually it isn’t much. Please make sure to follow the weather forecast and be prepared to carry chains, should you need to travel in the inclement weather. We see the snow as early as November (Thanksgiving weekend) and as late as early May, however, January & February are the months with the most chances of snow.

You will be able to park up to two vehicles, right in front of your chalet. Please keep in mind that the parking is not assigned, on first come first service basis. Hotel (Suite) Guests can park in a little parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Parking is free. Oversized vehicles, like RVs and trailers must be parked in the designated trailer parking and subject to a fee.

The Pines Resort offers a limited number of pet-friendly chalets. At this time, we only allow well-mannered dogs. All guests traveling with pets, are subject to the pet fee ($85) and must agree to comply with our pet policy. Any violators or allowing pets in a non-pet room (chalets or suites) will result in a significant penalty charge. Please assure the availability before making any arrangements to travel with your dog. Documented service animals are always welcome in any of our rooms.

Reservations may be canceled within 24 hours of booking without penalty. Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of the deposit minus a $25 processing fee. For cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, the first night’s deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.

If an emergency arises, please contact our Front Desk. In some cases, we may be able to assist with rescheduling your stay or applying your deposit toward a future visit.
